Sean Buckley

Sean oversees Telecommunications and its e-newsletters. Previously, he was Editor-in-Chief of Telecommunications Americas magazine. Sean began his career with Telecommunications in 2000, where he held the positions of staff editor and later senior editor. Earlier, he worked for a telecom market research and publishing firm called Information Gatekeepers covering optical and enterprise networking technologies. In 2005, Sean left Telecommunications to cover the public sector and the wireless networking industry as an analyst at Current Analysis. He returned to the magazine in 2006 to take over as Editor-in-Chief.

Jim Barthold
Senior Editor

Jim Barthold, Senior Editor, Web, has more than 30 years of experience covering cable, fixed broadband wireless and telephony applications. Prior to joining the staff at Telecommunications, Barthold was a freelance writer whose work appeared in such diverse publications as Cable World, Communications Technology, Fat Pipe magazine, VON, Telephony, Broadband Wireless Business and MRT. Previously, Jim was Technology Editor of Cable World and Senior Editor with Telephony. Before becoming a trade journalist, he spent more than a decade as the public relations manager for General Instrument Corp. Barthold began his career as editor of the Cape May County (NJ) Gazette-Leader and also worked at the Philadelphia Journal where he was a generalist sportswriter and copy editor.
